Fixed Term Marketing Coordinator

Located: Te Awamutu

About the role: 

We are seeking a Marketing Coordinator for a 12 month, fixed term role (cover for maternity leave) based in Te Awamutu. Working in the corporate support office, this role involves all aspects of marketing support for the clinics and companies within Veterinary Enterprises Group Ltd.

The Marketing Coordinator reports to the CEO and will work closely with the senior management team and clinics throughout the country. The successful applicant will be responsible to oversee and deliver innovative and professional brand and marketing services.

This is a varied and exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and committed team player.

To be a success in this role you will:

  • have 3-4 years' relevant experience
  • have a marketing-related tertiary qualification
  • have excellent time management skills

Finance Manager

Located: Te Awamutu

About the role:

This is a pivotal senior finance role where you will be expected to influence, challenge and provide high quality, valued advice to the business. This position requires a dynamic, forward thinker with strong commercial acumen and IT skills.

The Finance Manager will provide high level financial accounting and advisory services and will be supporting the management team. This role is responsible for ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting. You will have the ability to use your initiative to help improve processes and procedures. This role is ideal for someone with a can-do attitude and who is able to take ownership of tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly management reporting and assist with year end financial reporting in accordance with generally accepted accounting practices.
  • Involved in key strategic business decisions.
  • Manage the annual budgeting and forecasting, including co-ordination of regional and branch budgets.
  • Review and update finance policies, controls, and procedures to comply with good practice.
  • Preparation of business cases and financial modelling.
  • Cost benefit analysis.
  • Continual review and enhancement of core financial systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to present to the Board in a confident and competent manner.
  • Oversight of the Financial Accountant and their direct reports.
  • Ad hoc projects

Key Requirements:

  • 8-10 years experience in management/financial accounting roles.
  • CA qualification is essential.
  • Excellent presentation skills and the ability to communicate financial information to senior management and Board members.
  • Experience in operational planning, budget management and financial reporting.
  • Strong business partnering skills and the ability to provide financial advice to the wider business.
  • Effective time management and the ability to work to deadlines.
  • The ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • Advanced excel skills.
  • The ability to work autonomously and to show initiative.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with people across the business.
  • The ability to operate with a high level of initiative and drive.

Mixed Animal Veterinarian

Located: Wanaka

VetEnt Wanaka has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic mixed animal veterinarian to join our team. This is a full time position and requires a candidate who is a team player that is willing to get involved in all aspects of veterinary work.

Located in Wanaka you have the mountains, ski fields and lakes on your doorstep making this paradise for those who love to work in a great region with the great outdoors as a backdrop.

The Wanaka clinic is very well equipped and has a great team of progressive nurses and experienced veterinarians. Our caseload includes a busy small animal clinic and a mix of deer, dairy and sheep & beef for large animals.

To succeed in this role you will have:

  • 2 – 5 years veterinary experience
  • Experience in dairy work is ideal, although not a deal breaker
  • You should be organised, self-motivated, enjoy learning on the job and have a positive 'can do' attitude
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • A strong customer service ethic
