This new technology replaces traditional testing and delivers a composite Faecal Egg Count on the same day (in as little as 15 minutes), a game changer in making the right drenching decisions quickly - even during the busiest times of year.
The goal is to make FEC results immediately accessible that that you can put real data about your farm at the forefront of drenching decisions to avoid drench resistance and maximise ROI.
Our dairy client traditionally drenched his dairy calves every 4-6 weeks. FEC results allowed this farmer to extend their
drenching period twice last summer - to 8 weeks between drenches.
This extension saved $3.78 per calf per drench, a total saving of $756 for the mob of 100 over the drenching period.
Our sheep client used new composite samples to narrow which of his mobs needed drenching, instead of
blanket drenching the entire flock as they had previously.
With a saving of around 35 cents an animal, this farmer saved $875 over 2,500 ewes - and reduced the risk of drench
resistance on their property.
