We’re a proactive and passionate team that thrives on collaboration, growth, and creating a supportive environment. This full-time role (Monday to Friday, 40 hours/week, plus rostered Saturdays) is your chance to work with a fun and dedicated group of professionals who care as much about your development as they do about delivering exceptional care.

You’ll be reporting to the Clinic Coordinator, with plenty of opportunities to collaborate with our wider network of clinics across Central Otago. This role offers variety, growth, and the chance to make a genuine difference every day.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, expert care, including administering medications and anaesthesia.
• Monitor patient recovery and respond to changes in their condition.
• Assist in surgeries, ensuring the smooth running of procedures.
• Support pet parents by explaining treatment plans and post-care advice clearly and confidently.
• Share your skills and knowledge to mentor and guide team members.
• Collaborate with veterinarians and clinic staff to optimise workflows and deliver seamless care.
• Keep things running smoothly by managing supplies and maintaining accurate records.

About you:

We’re looking for someone who’s as passionate about animals as we are and brings:

• New Zealand working rights.
• A Diploma of Veterinary Nursing with 3+ years of experience.
• Confidence in administering anaesthesia, monitoring patients, and clearly explaining treatment plans to pet parents.
• A warm, approachable personality that makes both customers and colleagues feel valued and supported.
• Exceptional communication skills, ensuring smooth collaboration with your team and clarity for pet parents.
• A strong sense of compassion and empathy, treating every patient as if they were your own.
• A team-first mindset, thriving in a collaborative environment where everyone supports each other.
• Curiosity and a growth mindset, eager to embrace new skills and advancements in veterinary care.
