Rob is a Massey University Graduate (1983) who after graduation enjoyed his first few years as a vet based in picturesque Wanaka, where he developed an affinity for the high country and deer farming. To further his experience Rob then worked as a veterinary locum throughout the UK in many varied and interesting jobs dealing with the range of animals the UK experience brings including monkeys and snakes. The lure of NZ brought him home and Rob has been based in Ashburton since the late 1980’s predominantly working with production animals (sheep/deer/beef) and no snakes. He is actively involved in the Deer Industry as an auditor for the NVSB as well as acting as a TB tester trainer/assessor for the NQVS. Outside of work Rob lives on a lifestyle property in Tai Tapu with his wife Sarita and two girls. Having no musical ability, and being too old to play rugby Rob enjoys the family time and shares a passion for travel with his wife.
