- What’s the best part about your job? Getting to design promotional/marketing material with lots of cute animals.
- How did you get involved with the industry? I grew up on a dairy farm and have had horses plus a hoard of pets since I can remember. I then studied agribusiness as part of a Business Management Degree at Waikato University.
- What’s your area of expertise? Not an expert yet but one day I hope to be in in my career areas of interest; marketing and agribusiness.
- What are you most proud of? I’ve ridden horses competitively at high level and been part of international teams/squads for New Zealand and Australia, won national equestrian championships in both countries.
- Who inspires you? Many people. Public figures; Richard Branson and Sir Ed.
- Where is your favourite place in the world? The beach.
- If you could be any animal, which would you be? A dog.
- What are you passionate about? Healthy living and fitness.
- What are you currently watching on Netflix? Shameless and House of Cards.
- What’s the coolest thing you’re working on right now? A post-graduate specialisation in SEO marketing.

Rachel has been involved with Riverside since 1997 and has worked in all area’s of the clinic except being a vet. Her roll at VetEnt Riverside is Clinic Coordinator. She really enjoys working with the farming clients, and has a great knowledge of products and the farming industry.

Lives with husband Phil, two mad springer spaniels, two cats and a goat. Passionate about sheep and beef farming. Grew up in Katikati on the family dairy farm, but while at university became a sheep and beef convert, and after graduating in 2005 moved to Wairoa. Enjoy working with farm dogs, and other companion animals as well as sheep and cows. Following a brief period travelling around Europe, returned to the East Coast to work in Gisborne.
