Veterinary Clinic Coordinator

Located: Wanaka

We are looking for an energetic Clinic Co-ordinator to manage our veterinary clinic in Wanaka.  This role coordinates our veterinary work and nurse support, as well as the customer service team for the “front of house” staff. The ideal candidate will have a background in leadership or management.  Ideally you'll understand and have a strong affinity with the agricultural sector and in particular sheep and beef.

To be successful in this role you will need to be a well-organised individual who copes well under pressure. You will also need to be an excellent multi-tasker with good time management and a customer service champion. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the clinic as well as head the responsibility of leading the team to deliver positive patient outcomes and exceed client expectations.

We are looking for someone who is a positive team player, has a sense of humour and is able to cope well in any situation.

Our ideal candidate will also possess the following attributes and skills:

  • A minimum two years’ experience in a Veterinary Clinic or an Agricultural business
  • Willingness to roll up your sleeves and get involved at all levels, with energy and drive
  • Ability to successfully develop and train the team
  • Facilitating regular clinic meetings
  • Administrative reports and returns
  • Daily, weekly and monthly staff rosters including leave and time sheet management
  • Reception duties including answering phone calls, taking messages, serving and advising client
  • Stock and inventory control including placing orders, stock monitoring and coordinating stock takes
  • Daily mail and banking processing

Stock Control/Receptionist Position - Part-time

Located: Ashburton

We are looking for an inventory person who can also cover front of house, someone vibrant, outgoing, who can show considerable initiative. This role is for approximately 20 hours per week, 5 days per week (10:00am – 2:00pm). Additional hours may be required to cover busy periods and leave.

Detailed, flexible, friendly are all words that will spring to mind with this role. Experience in a retail environment and knowledge of animal health products would be an advantage, as would a forklift licence. You will need to be physically fit as this role includes heavy lifting. On a rostered basis, the successful applicant will work a Saturday morning clinic.

This role will involve:

  • Excellent attention to detail while receipting inwards goods
  • Managing stock takes
  • Providing welcoming and friendly customer service
  • Assisting customers with retail/product sales and queries
  • Accurately logging sales into our computer system and charging the customer using the preferred payment system, i.e. eftpos, credit card or cash
  • Maintaining a clean and well presented retail area
  • Providing administrative support for the Vets and Vet Nurses
  • Managing the appointment diary for the team
  • Receipting, ordering and reconciling stock
