VetEnt Riverside
VetEnt Riverside 24 hour emergency service VetEnt Riverside operates from premises in Ashburton and has a satellite branch in Rakaia. Riverside Vets and Rural Vets based in Timaru work together as one large practice covering an area from Dunsandel in the north to the Waitaki river south of Waimate. Both Riverside and Rural specialize in Large Animal Veterinary Medicine, predominately Dairy but include a significant Deer and Sheep and Beef clientele plus a newly established Companion Animal service as well. We have nine full time Veterinarians and one part time Veterinarian working from Riverside and two Veterinarians at Rural Vets. A Significant strength of both practices is our Vets level of experience with 9 of the 11 Vets averaging 17 years in practice. This leads to a superior service able to delivered to our clients and also an excellent learning environment to start new graduate Veterinarians with interest in Large and Small Animal Veterinary practice.
The practices also employ two Large Animal Veterinary Technicians.
Both practices have experienced retail and reception staff with excellent product and local knowledge.
Services and areas of expertise offered by Riverside and Rural Vets include
· Dairy Reproductive Services including 35 day Pregnancy Testing ,Accurate Aging of pregnancies, Analysis of results, Investigation and resolution of problems, routine non cycler and synchronization services
· Mastitis Control including grade busting whole herd paddling, full analysis and reporting on solutions, treatment recommendations
· Cow lameness treatment and prevention including the use of our Roll Over Crush, a member of the Healthy Hoof Programme
· Preventative Vaccination Programmes for Lepto, BVD, Rotovirus , Toxo and Campy,Yersiniosis………………..
· FeacalEgg Counting services including drench resistance monitoring
· Deer ET services and pregnancy scanning
· Advise on mineral supplementation programmes
· Regular Client information evenings and focus groups.
