As well as the many services we provide to our Dairy clients, we also offer training seminars for Farmers and their Farm Hands. These cover various areas of Animal health.
The training sessions can be either organised through the local clinic as a combined farms training session or individual farms may wish to have a private training in-clinic or possibly have a vet come out on farm to provide training.

Calf and Heifer Rearing
|
The objectives of this course is for participants to; understand the importance of rearing quality herd replacements; produce healthy calves, grow heifers well to achieve mating and calving dates; be familiar with various rearing systems; optimise the economics of rearing, without compromising future performance; optimise the age structure of their herd to maximise milk production and minimise wastage. Participants will get a booklet to compliment the course, which includes morning theory session and afternoon practical session.

Spring First Aid
|
The aim of this course is for those who participate to recognise, and treat appropriately, common spring diseases and conditions of cows, including calving and calf scours. Participants will get a booklet to compliment the course, which includes morning theory session and afternoon on-farm practical session.
