Meet Our Pet Vets

Our pet vet team can’t wait to meet you and your new animal or long-term friend in one of our NZ pet veterinarian clinics. Hopefully we’ll see you for a routine check-up and cuddle, rather than an emergency, but your animal is in safe hands with our pet vets either way. For now, our pet veterinarians would like to take the opportunity to tell you a little bit about themselves. This way you’ll see a familiar face when you pop into one of our 16 clinics.

Sharon Foor
Vet Nurse / Clinic Coordinator

Sharon emigrated from West Yorkshire, England in June 2006 with her husband Rob and continues to embrace the country lifestyle in the Malvern area. With a Bachelor of Equine Science and Management behind her Sharon began working at the clinic in December 2007 in a nursing role that often took her out in the field. Her position here indulges her passion for working with animals and enables Sharon to meet the locals and get a true sense of our community. In mid 2009 Sharon eased back her workload to the occasional Saturday to invest more time in fostering pre-school children and to pursue other interests such as art, walking and cycling. We still miss working alongside Sharon during the week but look forward to her organised notes that await us on a Monday morning and her visits during the odd morning tea break.

I graduated from the University of Bristol in 2000 and moved to NZ in 2002 when I fell in love with the scenery and the outdoor lifestyle of Queenstown. Since then I have worked in a small animal practice and  I particularly enjoy surgery. I love the friendly atmosphere at work and it has been great to combine my passion for veterinary work with living in such a wonderful part of the world.

Timothy Cameron
Veterinarian

Tim has been a member of the Waipa team since making his debut, fresh from university, at the beginning of 2012. Tim grew up on the Kapiti Coast, and then made the move to the bright lights of Palmerston North for the next 5 years, before completing his migration north, to the even brighter lights of the Waipa district. Tim is involved in all aspects of vet practice, with his main interest lying in production animal medicine. Outside of work, despite being a long suffering Hurricanes fan, Tim enjoys all sports, particularly rugby and cricket, along with more social sports including golf, squash, snowboarding, wakeboarding and tennis. Tim is also keen on the outdoors, and hopes to flee to the mountains and beaches as often as possible between work.
